ConnexLink™ is the most flexible, affordable RF serial data device available for both consumers and OEMs looking to cut cables between USB devices. The system can enable local-area communication in industrial, commercial and office applications using frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology, providing reliable communication; even in RF-hostile environments.
Each ConnexLink communication system requires a central server node and any number of remote client nodes that operate in point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configurations. Users can create multiple sub-networks by assigning unique radio addresses to specific device groups.
ConnexLink implements a proprietary communication protocol to provide secure local data transmissions. Because it uses FHSS technology, the data remains reliable over varying distances. Each unit is small and easily portable for use in mobile and temporary settings as well as for fixed installations. Optional software enables custom configurations based on user needs.
ConnexLinks are approved for operation by FCC (USA), IC (Canada) and CE (Europe). No additional certification is required. Use of license-free frequency bands ensures that units are ready to use with no further certification requirements.
ConnexNet™ provides a complete hardware and software solution for adding wireless network connectivity to serial-based applications. The transceiver serves as a conduit between the user and multiple destination devices via a local network or the Internet.
Unlike other industrial wireless Ethernet offerings, ConnexNet does not require a COM port director. All software controls communicate directly to the device, greatly improving system latency. And ConnexNet will support a wireless Ethernet-to-serial bridge to allow separate networks to talk with one another simultaneously.
Each unit is small and easily portable for use in mobile or temporary settings as well as for fixed installations. FHSS modulation ensures reliable transmissions, while use of the 900 MHz ISM band makes ConnexNet ready to use with no further certification.
