Cushcraft Corporation recently engineered the S1857HVP and S1857SLP to further expand the already extensive product line of PCS band antennas. The S1857HVP provides for reception and transmission of both vertically and horizontally linear polarized signals in the 1850- 1990 MHz frequency band. The S1857SLP provides ± 45 degrees dual linear polarized signals in the PCS frequency band. These antennas are designed to increase signal reception in environments where there is a presence of multipath and high scattering. The polarization diversity benefits resulting from the integration of the S1857SLP or the S1857HVP reduce the number of antennas typically required for cell site construction. The radomes are injection molded and UV stabilized for both indoor and outdoor applications. The antenna itself is designed using Cushcraft's MicroAir™ technology, which provides a low cost alternative to dielectric substrate designs. It has been proven to increase the antenna's radiation efficiency and hence achievable gain. Standard colors of these models are grey, custom configurations of radome finish, color and texture can be provided to complement and blend within any environment. Applications for this antenna include industrial complexes, office environments, shopping malls, parking garages, warehouses, railroad yards, airports, hospitals and campus settings and more.
